Swiss Stone Pine is a protected tree that grows high in the European Alps. Its botanical name is Pinus cembra L. It thrives in extreme climates under the most inhospitable conditions. The ancient Romans nicknamed the tree “King of the Alps”.
The essential oil of this tree has positive effects on health and psycho/physical well-being confirmed by multiple scientific studies. RayGuard's Swiss Pine oil is 100% pure.
One research study conducted at the Joanneum Research Institute in Weiz, Austria, revealed a slowing down of the heart frequency saving the heart about an hour of work a day. The oil also aids deep and restorative sleep. It has many uses due to its unique botanical composition. This includes its balsamic, decongestant effects and use for colds and coughs. Some of the most important components are toulene used for production of Trypan blue, proanthocyanidins and catechins. Suramin derived from an extract of pine needle is used as an aid for inhibiting the inappropriate replication and modification of RNA and DNA.
"More than 130 compounds were identified. The oils differed in the quantitative composition. The principal components of the oil from twigs with needles were α-pinene (36.3%), limonene (22.7%) and β-phellandrene (12.0%). The needle oil was dominated by α-pinene (48.4%), whereas in the oil from bark and in the oil from twigs without needles there were limonene (36.2% and 33.6%, resp.) and β-phellandrene (18.8% and 17.1%, resp.). The main constituents of the wood oil as well as cone oil were α-pinene (35.2% and 39.0%, resp.) and β-pinene (10.4% and 18.9%, resp.). The wood oil and the cone oil contained large amounts of oxygenated diterpenes in comparison with needle, twig, and bark oils."

Dosage: One drop is all that is needed to change the quality of air. Two drops for bad odors or smoke. Three drops to 2 quarts of warm water to aid breathing relief of colds and coughs.
